I can get student discount for both and costs about the same after discount.

I was told the Access Until You Pass of Gleim is only for guaranteeing me pass each section. If I have one section expired before I pass all others, I will have to repurchase the review course again.

While Wiley guarantees me pass all four sections in any 18-month period. My understanding for the reply is if I have one section expired, I can get free update and retake that section.

Can you give me any advice on which one I should choose? I know Gleim includes DRS. How about the Wiley Silver?

I can't speak to Wiley, or any other review course besides Gleim. I, like you, got a hefty student discount on Gleim. I've used straight Gleim for everything so far, and it did me well for FAR and BEC. We'll see how REG goes in a couple of weeks, but I'm honestly feeling pretty okay about it even though it's a ton of information.

Like I said, I have no comparison to other review systems, but Gleim has worked really well for me. The questions are very challenging, the sims are very representative of what you might see on the exam (except maybe harder), and it's very detailed. Some people get frustrated by the fact that it's harder and more detailed than you probably need to know. It's also more self-study than being taught – the “lecture” videos aren't exactly what I would call lectures, but they are a good high-level starting point before you read.

If you are wanting a bunch of audio and video lectures you can listen to versus having to actually do the reading yourself, Gleim is probably not your review system. But I have really learned a lot from it and it allows you to learn at your pace because you may listen to an hour lecture on something that really only would've taken you 30 minutes to learn.

@Allie530 – I have always wondered about the Gleim textbooks. How in-depth or thorough are they? Are they brief and to-the-point or are they pretty detailed? I cannot seem to find a sample of their textbooks online. I have tried a trial period on their website, but I believe all that is provided with those is an outline. Thanks for your assistance.

@ag12thman – the books are in outline form (what you see in the trial) so they are easy to read, but they are very detailed.

As Ann said, the books are incredibly detailed and they are written as an outline so it is straight to the point. It's rather dry to read, but at the same time you aren't wasting a bunch of time with fluff and extra words.

@ckcpa18 – I'm using the Premium. I've never heard that about the access until you pass and I'm still a ways out from expiring credits so I can't help you there. Also, I'm not exactly sure of the difference between premium and traditional, but I know the premium on its own has provided me with everything I needed to be successful. The only thing I don't use that I have is the study planner and the audio “lectures”. But I use the book, the focus questions (T/F), quizzes, sims, video lectures, and the exam rehearsal. I've also talked with the counselors a few times and they have been helpful. Something else that was nice is they sent me updated 2017 books and I only had to pay shipping.

Thank you Allie for the information. I was considering either Gleim or Wiley for a couple weeks. I also tried their free demo. I like Wiley FAR video lecture because the instructor explains very well and fresh my memory. I read other comments here and there and I raised question on the quality of Wiley's test bank, especially I saw many student discussion in Wiley asking help on the wrong Sims key. I don't want to be misguided and waste my time on that. Then I decided and ordered Gleim Premium. I also called a counselor to reset my system as I messed up those quiz when I was during the free try. The counselor was really helpful and helped me fast. I was impressed on the first day's experience.

@ANN – Oh, okay – so the outline that's included in the free trial subscription is the actual textbook? I didn't realize that and figured the textbooks were altogether different. Thanks for pointing that out. It was a bit confusing since I believe they called it “Outline” on the course webpage.

@Allie530 – Thank you for the information as well. It's good to hear the books are detailed, yet to the point. That's what would be best for me as I just want to know what I need to know to pass the Exams. I can always consult references (books, handbooks, online databases, etc.) if I do not know something after the Exam. The whole goal is to learn enough to pass, in my opinion. So, if the books have no fluff, that would be just fine by me. Thanks for describing the rest of the online course and how it has worked for you, too. I have been checking closely into Gleim, Wiley, and Roger. Roger just seems too high-strung / hyper for my taste (yet it does seem like he is a good instructor). I'm more of a book-learner (learn by reading and working problems), so it has really been down to Wiley versus Gleim for me. Wiley's videos do not load for me or I have to refresh the webpage over and over to get all of the features on their webpages to work. Also, I keep seeing others say some of the problems are graded incorrectly within their software. Gleim seems to be a much more smooth operation online and almost everyone agrees they have the best Simulations and MCQs (except for maybe Ninja). I think I'm pretty close to going with Gleim, thanks to yours and @ANN ‘s help and also others' help on this forum.

I just finished Study Unit 1 in Gleim. Here are my thoughts.
1. Gleim's MCQs and Simulations are great and they come with very detailed explanations.
2. For those who are not accounting major or never take at least intermediate accounting courses, do not use Gleim's book. It is outline format, not good for you studying from scratch or who is already out of school for a long time. I still have Wiley free demo, Wiley's Study Guide is better for those who want to have better instructions in the textbook.
