    Gleim Test Bank vs Wiley Test Bank – Which one should I get for FAR? And do both include SIMS? Thanks.

    I remember using gleim in college for some of my accounting classes, and I loved how prepared it made me feel for my exams. But I noticed on this forum many mention Wiley but not really Gleim. Did anyone use it for CPA and found it helpful?

    I barely used Wiley, but I know that Gleim helps people pass since it's so hard.

    So if you were to use both gleim and wiley, how would you allocate the time. Do you think both would be over kill?

    It begins with a 75

    I used Gleim for all four exams. I thought it was really good. Passed them all using just Gleim.

    Dewdewyeah – Can you tell me if the Mega test bank and the Text that goes along with it will follow inline so studying is a little more streamlined? Thanks

    Wiley CPAExcel for FAR is over 1000 pages. It's a lot. Good examples though. Not very many examples in the tax part of REG. The Wiley Test Bank is a different product. I only used that a little bit.

    If you come back for this, I did like 200 questions on Wiley and really did not like the way they worded the questions. I felt more confused. Anywho, I would do a combination of NINJA and Gliem, THOUGH, I know Gleim is more than enough to pass someone. I heard they're extremely hard. But NINJA is SO cheap.

    I can see using 2 different test banks. Using 2 different review courses (videos,textbook,flashcards,etc.) would be crazy though. Would take up so much time.

    @Pokey: Each the Gleim books has 20 chapters. The test bank is split up to match each of those chapters. You can also take quizzes of all the chapters or some of the chapters or just one of the chapters. I found Gleim to be very streamlined. I really liked it. If you're good at self study, Gleim is awesome.

    The readings are to the point and pretty concise. They are not easy, but they have everything you need.

    The Gleim test bank is great too. The questions are very difficult, but read a lot like the CPA exam. I could never get my total average over 75 on Gleim, but passed all the CPA exams. The questions really prepare you for the real thing.

    I paid for the traditional review course, but never ended up watching the videos or anything (they're boring and not helpful for me). I did get it when they were having a sale, but if money is tight, just get the books and the test bank. All I used were the books and the test bank online.

    If you used Gleim make sure you schedule your exam out a few months. Each section has 500+ more questions than a comparable tb. i.e. Reg & Far has 2600, but Ninja has like 1700. BEC has 1900, while Becker and Ninja has 1300. You will miss out on repetition. For example, EPS in FAR has like 60 questions compared to the 15 or 16 offered in Ninja. I've used Gleim for all sections and have failed all sections. Gleim also includes ridiculously long questions, and publisher adapted, cma, cia, and ea questions on top of the aicpa released questions. Mostly questions that won't be encountered on the actual exam. Could be a good thing or a waste of time, depending on the person.

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

    @Dewdewyah – Awesome thank you for your response.. I have already purchased Audio, flash cards, and several 3mths of MCQ banks from Ninja. I have spent countless hours note taking and worked thousands of MCQs but have not passed a section yet – 3x Aud and 1x BEC. I too get bored with video lectures and more of a visual person/working problems by hand. I ordered the Gleim Test Bank/Book today for FAR and hope that following the printed text with the MCQs will help shine a light and get me passed 1 section.

    @MTAYLO24
    your correct on MCQs about 800 more mcq questions – hopefully the repetitiveness will help me lol.

    Thanks Again

    I just want to echo any comments regarding Gleim. I used becker for many years with no success except for the one section I knew which was Audit. I passed audit because of many years practicing audit. I finally switched to Gleim and i credit my passing of BEC to Gleim. NUff said.

    I regret getting Becker, I don't like the way the textbook reads and I think it is not detailed when it comes to some topics. Not sure if Gleim would've been any better but based on what I am reading now I think I would've preferred it more. Anyone who is deciding between which review to go with remember they each have free demos!! Try them out, it didn't occur to me to do that.

    @Brainfried75
    What do you think made Gleim better vs Becker?
