Don’t put too much weight on it, because by the time when you start the mock you feel like you’ve already forgot most of what you learned, then the mock isn’t that worthwhile.
The CPA exam is 4 hour long per section. It’s frustrating to stare at a computer screen for 4 hours.
Especially when I’m dealing with REG.
The only mock I did it with 100% motivation (treating it like the real exam) was FAR.
I got 73% on the mock
With BEC I kinda rushed it. I only treat the MCQ part seriously and got 57%.
With AUD I just randomly guessed every MCQ, left the TBS blank, and got 7%.
With REG (oh I just finished the mock), I randomly guessed every question, left TBS blank and got 13%.
But I know it means nothing. Check out my signature, I passed all 3 sections on first attempt.
With REG I can’t remember every detail I learned from the book and still kept my memory fresh since I studied the first subunit 2 months ago.
So with the mock test outta the way, finally I’m gpnna start to pick up what I left off in Feb and March.
P.S. This doesn’t mean I am recommending everyone to flunk the mock exam. If you have the energy and time to review the entire 569 pages long Gleim CPA Review REG textbook for a couple of days before you do a mock test, or you think it is helpful. Do it.
I can’t. Because I may have to go out of town occasionally to do audit. I got my test coming up in June. On paper it seems I have 2 months, in reality I don’t have that much time.
Just my two cents.
