    Hello Skynet,

I gave my Audit exam on 4/7 and moved to BEC for my next part. I read from a previous post that you had used Gleim for BEC and am using the same course provider. I have started with Cost Accounting and with Chapter 18 itself am feeling overwhelmed, and feel like am forgetting what I learned from 18.1, 18.2… earlier this week. I find some MCQ’s challenging in the way calculations are done in the Test Bank. Is it normal to get little overwhelmed during 1st level review of material and comes together in 2nd round of review? Or it is just me that it could take more time to understand it? I hope to be hearing from you. Thanks!

Skynet is probably locked in a dark room watching Transformers or Jennifer's Body.

I used Gleim too, although only for REG. Gleim gives you way more detail than you need. If you can score 65 on a random bank of 24 MCQs using Gleim's test bank then you have a shot at passing the exam. The overwhelmed thing is normal, I was really ticked off when I started review.

    BEC - 78
    AUD - 75
    REG - 74, 79
    FAR - 75

Hello rp 12 – The way I studied for BEC was I focused a lot on Variances, Cost Accounting, Capital Budgeting, and all the Formulas.

It does get overwhelming, but the only way to learn is to keep working those mcq's. It's actually how i was able to learn the formulas too. A lot of those long questions are actually information for multiple related questions such as those for cost accounting.

Those topics that i listed will be on the exam especially Variances so you need to learn them well. The one topic that will be the most time consuming will be those Budgeting questions. They will take a lot of time since they require multiple steps. So expect to spend a lot of time on them but don't rush them. It's the only way to learn how to solve them.

The problem with BEC is that on the exam, the questions comes from all over the place. But I guarantee you that you will have lots more calculations questions than conceptual. so make sure you know those formulas.
