I want an advise from past users of Gleim CPA Review REG which strategy helped in passing the exams MCQ vrs SIM .There are over 2900 MCQs and over 200 SIMs which is kind of overwhelming for me since my exams is in Jan .The other aspect is that some of the questions are “insane” (EA questions )which according to some test takers help in not getting any surprises during the exams. But I cannot afford to learn “insane” questions for both MCQs and SIM so I want to focus on only one MCQs or SIMs. Any thoughts will be welcome.

I failed regulations 4 times before passing. I was using Wiley and decided to purchase Gleim. Per my results breakdown I was always above everyone in individual tax, MCQ comparative and business law comparative. I used Gleim strictly for corporate since its the highest percentage of the exam. I still didn't utilize it for Task based sims because I feel those can go either way. Doing MCQ's in Gleim provides a great understanding of the material. Because your exam is approaching try knocking out the MCQ's.

Gleim significantly helped me pass AUD, but for REG it’s a bit overkill. In my opinion, there’s simply way too many EA questions embedded within their software. These are clearly beyond the scope of the CPA exam and will have you spinning your wheels for minutes at a time. If I were you, I would purchase the NINJA monthly package and utilize the MCQ within this bundle.

That being said, I just want to be clear that the Gleim TBS for REG are great. I would still leverage your materials for this piece because from what I’ve heard and experienced, their TBS are the closest to the real exam.
