Ninja MCQ’s Vs Gleim TB

    Hi All,

I am less than 2 weeks from my final exam, AUD. I am nearly finished with Becker’s 6 chapters and have used Gleim CPA Review Test Banks for all exams prior as final review. REG was my most recent exam and Gleim’s test bank was near useless. The questions were unnecessarily difficult and did not provide an adequate coverage of relevant topics. I am trying to avoid that this go around.

My question is, how does the Ninja MCQ’s compare? as far as difficulty and relevance (preferably from someone who used the AUD materials from Ninja). Would one consider them an adequate supplementary material for final review?

    Thanks!

Gleim is a solid company and I have a great relationship with them – very friendly.

One thing I've disagreed with is the inclusion of the Enrolled Agent questions in REG – many of those are beyond the scope of the CPA Exam.

On one side – you probably get to the exam and are pleasantly surprised that it's not as difficult. On the other, it can cause a CPA candidate to doubt themselves and possibly re-schedule when it wasn't necessary.

If you have Gleim – maybe there is a way to only toggle the CPA Exam questions?

Again – I like Gleim as a company – just pointing out that it's the EA questions most-likely that you're referring to.

Would obviously love to have you as a NINJA as well.

I've used NINJA MCQs in addition to Becker (primary) for both FAR and AUD as part of my review – I strongly recommend Ninja over Gleim as I felt the same way you did. However, I'm currently using Gleim for BEC as supplementary for IT section of BEC along with Becker because I still have the access to the course from my master's program.

I learn better from hammering MCQs so I pounded Becker MCQs and Ninja MCQs evenly throughout each day leading up to my FAR and AUD exams. I have not been disappointed with my result from using both Becker and Ninja, and I hope I continue to get the satisfactory results in near future.

Gleim's test bank is absolutely absurd. I've used it for AUD, BEC AND FAR. I agree that a lot of the questions in the test bank are OC but if you avg a 70% with Gleim's test bank, then I can't think of any possible exam the AICPA can give you that you won't pass.

REG is by far Gleim's worst section. The other 3 sections including AUD were stellar. I supplemented with Ninja MCQ for AUD but they are very similar questions for the most part. It's worth getting Ninja, though, since the monthly plan is very economical.

I don't know if I can put up with Gleim's reg TB then if it's any worse than the others. BEC killed me with the learning curve analysis, I actually wrote to them about that section and they toned it down a bit lol so it's better now. but I thought it was somewhat egregious for BEC.

@jnwilliams328 Oh I can agree with that. The sims in BEC for a couple chapters were stupid. But in REG it seems like even their MCQ is plagued with unbelievable questions.
