i got the Gleim 2012 mcq for REG because i was starting to memorize a lot of the wiley and becker mcq. gleim cpa mcq seem so detailed, especially the adapted questions. i know the more you sweat in practice the less you bleed in battle but its just a confidence killer

am i the only one who feels like this?

Make sure you're not working the Enrolled Agent questions that they throw in there. At least they used to use EA questions anyway.

EA questions are beyond the scope of the exam and are confidence killers for sure.

They are hard. It's not just you. Some of the Publisher Adapted questions get a bit insane by asking you detailed questions on tax baskets. That's taking it a bit too far. But yes, it did help me a lot and the actual exam MCQs seemed a lot easier. But of course, the Sims haunted me and that's why I failed by 1 point.

Just keep practicing. Some of those questions really help you grasp the concepts of the material. The more of these you do, the better you will get at these. I think a lot of the Ethics & Business Law questions are excellent. Definitely practice a lot of those!

@Jeff- The only Enrolled Agents questions I've seen are the ones that pertain to Circular 230, which is an important topic for the exam. Other than that, I didn't notice any EA questions that I thought were bizarre.
