I just got my BEC score back and it doesn’t seem right, I got a 93 using Gleim

I heard BEC was one of the hardest to score high on? I didn’t understand most of the COSO and IT stuff . I am certain I got a large portion of the test wrong and I doubt they could have all been pretest questions. Also my writing skills are bad.

This really isn’t a secret bragging topic or anything I’m just confused as hell because I was certain I failed and Gleim had some questionable errors in it that made me really scared about taking the test. I still haven’t got my email yet confirming my score has it ever happened that the email is a different score?

Also I’m about to take Auditing in 3 months, how does that compare to BEC and how does Gleim work for it?

Thanks in advance. I’m also surprised I got my exam score back within 10 days of taking it.

Dude, don't ask people to reveal the voodoo that the AICPA employs to grade these things because no one really knows. 🙂 You probably felt bad about your exam because you did very well on the first testlet so it gives you a harder one for number two and this allows you to score more points. After all of the sections I passed I’ve felt like dirt. As far as Audit goes, everyone is different and they find certain sections easier than others. FAR and AUD were my demons; some people hate REG while I thought that one was easier. Generally I believe AUD is more conceptual but I don’t know how well Gleim works for it. It clearly worked for you on BEC so whatever you did, keep doing it. Congratulations on the 93! Throw back a few brews tonight and keep the petal to the floor on the next section.

    Finally done!
    FAR: 54, 51, 68, 76!
    AUD: 64, 55, 59, 76!
    BEC: 77 (Expired), 86
    REG: 88 (Expired), 84

Okay that makes more sense considering I felt like I did good on the first test then the next too I almost broke down into a panic attack. I guess Gleim is quite the bargain for the price then.

You also have to consider there are a number of questions that aren't graded… so if those are the ones you missed or confused you, then you may feel like you did worse than you actually did.

@candlemassisawesome Congrats on doing so well. I am also using Gleim and will be taking BEC in October. I have found Gleim to be very effective for its low price. How were you usually scoring in BEC for Gleim's MC 1, MC 2, and test prep online? How did you review?

After reading this I feel better about using Gleim for BEC. I used it and passed the other three tests, but BEC seems so foreign to me.

    REG - 64, 72, 81!
    FAR - 77
    AUD - 79
    BEC - 72, 79! And Done!
