    I used the Gleim videos for FAR, which were very boring and I didn't feel they helped me at all (just a guy reading off slides basically). It took me all of June and July to watch them as I wasn't very dedicated at the time.. pushed my test to August and for the last 3-4 sections all I did was watch the videos and didn't touch the T/F, MCQs, or SIMs. The 3 weeks before my test I just started doing a ton of MCQs in Wiley, tracking my progress, and using my old school textbooks to teach myself stuff I had forgotten. Next is AUD and I won't be buying Gleim again.. I'm sticking with ninja materials and Wiley test bank only. So I guess we'll see if Gleim made a difference lol.

    FAR - 89 (8/19/14) Wiley TB, Wiley Book, Books from School, Ninja Audio/Notes
    AUD - 92 (10/14/14) Wiley TB, Wiley Book, Ninja Audio
    BEC - 82 (5/8/15) Mostly Ninja MCQ, sprinkles of Becker lectures and Ninja Audio
    REG - (8/14/15)

    I used Gleim for FAR without any other supplements. I have limited budget so I decided to buy the full set to save more. I agree about the boring video but as long as you are learning that's all that matter. I studied for 3 months and strictly followed the format, finished the materials just on time. On the actual exam I felt like 75% of the questions I've never seen before but I just answered them based on what I know. SIMs are ok, I think I was prepared for them. I got out of the testing center unsure but I'm hoping for around 80 pts. It turned out I got 13 pts more than that. Gleim worked for me so far. I'm using it now for AUD, again without any supplement. I hope it will turn out well. You can try the demo version to get a feel of it.

    Hey, I also used Gleim for all 4 sections, but I did supplement with other test banks. Using Gleim alone would still get you a pass, because they have lots of questions and some of them are really difficult which most of the time over-prepare you for the real deal.

    It still doesn't hurt to supplement with other materials (such as Ninja or cpareviewforfree) if you have enough time for review.

    After going over Becker mc questions and Ninja, I found Gleim questions a lot harder cause they cover minor details that the other two did not cover at all.

    I echo what stoleway has to say; however, I switched over to Becker for BEC as I needed more of a lecture classroom setting to help with the information. I got through 10 chapters and none of it was sticking.

    As for FAR, I had a love hate relationship with the book for the most part.. like equated to a pass lol. I really enjoyed how I was able to mix up the questions and how everything was broken down into mini chapters, this really helped me study and cram all the information into my brain. I did find that they do a lot of “learn through questions” rather than teaching it to you through the book. This is where my “hate' came into play. I overcame it, but it could be frustrating at times. At the end of the day, there's a lot of information, tons of questions, and I never had to supplement with anything else. You should be fine with Gleim, just pack your patience.

    Thanks, it feels like 100lbs just came off my shoulders. I'm always happy about this achievement!

    How is your CPA preparation going, have you been approved?

    @NJPRU

    I'm still confident that you will tear BEC apart:)

    @ stolway,

    Yes, I just got approval from the state of Calif. I first applied Jun 10, so that is 4 months of waiting. I almost feels like passing a section 🙂

    So yes, I am on my way to taking FAR in the next window …
