So here is my situation. I used GLEIM exclusively and passed BEC, AUD and FAR. Taking REG in 2 weeks. I took the Model exam and got only a 72 score. Feeling a bit nervous. Am I too far off the mark or in a decent position so long as I address the 3-4 weak areas identified in the review of model exam.
My personal experience has been that I score anywhere between 5 to 10 points higher on the actual CPA exam section than the model exam on the previous 3 exams I took.

Is that a fairly common experience or am I too optimistic to take comfort in that. Also in my attempt to stick to the GLEIM schedule, I decided to take the model exam without having reviewed nearly 30% of the study units. May be that was not such a good idea

With REG, I feel like there is so much to remember, I struggled to keep it all straight and that costs me valuable points. I guess I just need to take notes more diligently on those aspects and

I understand I have to put in some focused effort. I did fairly well on the MCQs but lagged considerably in the SIMs. 4 weak areas have been identified and I will sure focus on them. I also plan to do lots MCQs- perhaps double the number on my weak areas, from the question bank over the next two weeks.

Just trying to take a pulse of other that took REG, Should I hit the panic button or just focus on weak areas and review cover to cover in the remaining time I have. I am so close and do not want to let it slip out of my grasp..
    thanks

Hi CPA_VT. I'm also currently using Gleim to study for BEC, my last exam. For AUD, REG, and FAR I would score hi 60s low 70 on practice. I would try to do as many multiple choice as I can and would still only get 60% of them correct. However, I've managed to pass all three of those section since I've started over in trying to pass this thing with a 75, 79, and 82, respectively.

I found the questions on the exam were much easier than what I had been given using Gleim. I just hope the same is true BEC because I feel like I'm struggling with this one the most.

    AUD 75

    FAR 82

    BEC 87

    REG 79

@Mick – thank you, that is encouraging. I will do as many MCQs as I can. I do find GLEIM questions very intricate sometimes.
Regarding BEC, I sometimes found GLEIM's style hard and I was getting lost in Economics topics. I went to youtube and found some videos that explained concepts in simpler style that registered for me. The actual exam with BEC back in March 20 was lot simpler. BEC some people say can be very easy or very hard. I have read posts here where people say they had some questions completely out of left field but I personally had a very straight forward experience with BEC as my score would prove.
Keeping fingers crossed. I just need to buckle down and review well in the 2 weeks leading up to the exam
    Good luck on BEC.
If I may suggest – provided you can make the time consider watching some lectures on youtube by college professors for undergrad courses on economics. I felt those were helpful in grounding me on some basics. I deal with Cost Accounting in my job so that part was easy for me.
