I just wanted to get opinions from people who have used Gleim. Do you like it? Does it cover most/all of the required material? Good bang for the buck? Etc…

I passed AUD using just CPAReviewForFree, and I’m getting ready to take BEC having used the Wiley Online Test Bank. But I’ve never used a full review course like Becker, Roger, Yaeger, Gleim, etc…

As I look ahead to REG & FAR, I’m thinking I need a little more. If I had the money to invest in Becker or Roger, I’d do it. But I can’t invest what I don’t have, so I need a more economical solution. Wiley & CPAReviewForFree might get me there, but I’d like to be a little more assured of the 75.

Gleim’s review system seems reasonable. Any of your opinions on it are welcome, please.

    Thanks!

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 88
    REG - 87
    FAR - 86 - Woot, all done!
    Ethics - 100

    CPA Review

I am also using Wiley and GLEIM at the same time and I think GLEIM's questions are more complex. I like Wiley because it's more to the point and the questions are more similar to the CPA exam but I also like GLEIM because they divide the study questions by section so you can really focus on your weak areas. I used both and I have failed REG once already so I am still not sure which one I prefer. Why not used both. They are not very expensive as compare to Becker. To me Becker is the worst. It leaves out a lot of information and I hate their videos. Find out what works for you!!!

    AUD - PASSED
    REG - PASSED

My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure.

If your goal is to be economical, the Wiley book with CPAReviewForFree or with Wiley test bank is enough to pass the exam. I've passed all 3 I've sat for to date, using Wiley book and WTB. So, don't feel like you *have* to buy Gleim just to have a “sufficient” review course! I have seen many people use a full course (like Becker) and after several fails switch to the Wiley books.

However, if Gleim appeals to you and it fits your budget, then go for it.

But the Gleim test bank and book is only 84.95 a section

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

I like gleim as I would agree with senbi575. I would rather be over prepared and pass the exam.

    Everyone is different.

I agree that if you use Wiley alone and work extra hard you can pass the exam with them alone.

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !

I use both Wiley and Gleim test banks. The thing I like about Gleim over Wiley is that for each topic, the subtopics are listed also. You can really drill down to certain topic that you may feel need additional coverage. In Wiley you just get the main topics and its luck of the draw which questions you actually get on your quizzes. Just my two cents…

Yup, I've been preaching this for a while. Wiley randomly throws the kitchen sink in each module, while Gleim you can quiz on a specific subunit.

I used Gleim as well and passed all 4 parts on the first attempt. The Gleim review is very comprehensive and I agree with the other people who said that the Gleim questions are harder than the actual CPA exam questions – and that's a good thing.

I also used Gleim when I studied for the CIA and CMA.
