I just wanted to get opinions from people who have used Gleim. Do you like it? Does it cover most/all of the required material? Good bang for the buck? Etc…

I passed AUD using just CPAReviewForFree, and I’m getting ready to take BEC having used the Wiley Online Test Bank. But I’ve never used a full review course like Becker, Roger, Yaeger, Gleim, etc…

As I look ahead to REG & FAR, I’m thinking I need a little more. If I had the money to invest in Becker or Roger, I’d do it. But I can’t invest what I don’t have, so I need a more economical solution. Wiley & CPAReviewForFree might get me there, but I’d like to be a little more assured of the 75.

Gleim’s review system seems reasonable. Any of your opinions on it are welcome, please.

    Thanks!

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 88
    REG - 87
    FAR - 86 - Woot, all done!

Personally, I think Gleim has WAY too many questions. With the software I feel too much time is wasted on obscure questions.

    BEC 71,77
    REG 65,85
    FAR 7/1/13
    AUD 8/24/13

I passed FAR, BEC, AUD, all on the first try and almsot passed REG (71) just using wiley book, wiley test bank, gleim test bank, and ninja notes. Its definatley doable, but may not be the most effecient study method because there is no one telling you what to focus on, what may be heavily tested, etc. This could also be a good thing because it forces you to study everything, and there will be no surprises on exam day when the topic you thought would be heavily tested only shows up in one question.

I liked the gleim test bank better than the wiley test bank. I felt the interface was a lot more user friendly, and the performance reporting was better. If i have to stare at something for hours on end, id rather it be gleim. The questions were pretty similiar in terms of difficulty and wording the the exam, and between wiley and gleim the questions in the test bank were all pretty similiar. the downside to gleim test bank is that practice sims are sold separately, but I never practice the sims anyway.

I feel like GLEIM's “publisher” adapted questions are way too complex. The computational questions are too much to be asked for in an actual CPA exam and some of the theory questions are definitions of the most obscure terms.

I am mixed because the actual CPA questions are easier than GLEIM so it is good practice…but i dont appreciate killing myself over some areas that has a very slim chance of being on the actual exam. I use WILEY and GLEIM. I have been in 5 real exams and passed 2 so far…so i have seen alot of questions lol

I like Gliem, cheap and as stated earlier, some of the questions were more difficult that the actual exam. I would rather be over-prepared than under.

I passed it all the first try with Gleim. I think it works well. Do as many practice questions as you can.
