So I’m planning to take FAR mid October and was looking at how many weeks I have and it’s about 6 weeks of studying. This will give me enough time to take AUD In late Nov. I’m using Gleim CPA Study Materials for my study prep and wanted to know if anyone used this for their FAR preparation and found it prepared them well (and passed)? I took BEC last Friday and felt that it covered the material well; not sure how I did though. My goal is to try and knock out about 5 subunits a week to give me some time for final review. Is it possible?

    BEC - 60, 71, 79
    AUD - 73, 66, 87!!!!! Yes! I am done!
    REG - 74, 76
    FAR - 75

Yaeger Review for all except my last AUD score (Roger)!

I took BEC yesterday and felt the same way you did. I think Gleim did a nice job preparing me.

FAR was my first exam, and I passed it with Gleim. As far as study time goes, it depends on a lot of things. For me, I put in about 215 hours over a 2 month period and passed with a 75. I was working full time as well, so nights/weekend were my only option.

I think Gleim covers all the material you will need to know, and then some. Some people have argued that Gleim attempts to cover too much, but I don't really see that as a problem. You never know what you're gonna see on the exam, so the more you can see beforehand the better.

My strategy was to go through all 20 study units twice, and then allow a week or 2 to exhaust the Test Prep software. I think I did about 1200 problems for FAR.

FAR is a beast, but doable. If I can pass it, I think anyone can. Good luck.

Gleim worked well for me. As a non-accounting major, never did an audit in my life, only did my personal taxes – I missed REG by 1 pt the first time around. But I think that was largely because I got distracted with starting a new job the week before I took the exam when I should have been doing my final cram. If I hadn't taken a break during REG I probably would have passed too. Anyway, I passed all of the others with a sufficient margin the first time around and the retest too. Allotted about 8 weeks of studying per exam. Just plowed through the chapters taking some notes and taking the online tests.

    Gleim does the job.
