I was wondering if there’s anyone currently studying with Gleim who could offer their opinion of the updated Gleim software to reflect the changes in the new 2017 CPA Exams. I recently restarted studying for FAR using Gleim’s new software and find that it’s taking me much longer to complete a study unit due to their adaptive software which focuses more on your weak areas. You can certainly bypass it and move on to another study unit but that’s not what Gleim recommends. Each time I login, the software tells me what I need to do. I guess the issue here is that it’s taking me much longer to complete a study unit and I’m off target with my study plan because of this and not making my exam goals due to this new approach. I’m curious as to (1) what other Gleim users are experiencing and (2) has this new adaptive software served you well in taking the new CPA Exam in 2017? Thank you.

I do not have the full Gleim, but I tried their free sample to get a feel for the course.
The instructions didn't seem very clear as to whether you should read and then watch the videos only if you need to, or if the videos were a required part of it.
I didn't find the videos incredibly compelling.

I am currently using Wiley's sample 2 weeks and although not as high energy as Roger's video, the woman doing the FAR lectures for Wiley doesn't seem as “dry” as the Gleim videos.

Gleim seems targeted towards the candidate that can read and memorize well. I think personally I am picking up more from the video lectures and examples they go over in Wiley.
