    For you Gleim users, Ho would you say Gleim FAR SIMs measure up to the real thing?

    BEC (2/28/16) ----- 78
    FAR (09/10/16)-----

    Used only gleim. Scored 88%

    Went through every simulation in the book, 6 per chapter until I understood the fundamentals behind the question. Did not attempt any other simulations in online Gleim.
    That being said. The real deal exam simulations were terrible but you will have a good shot if you score 80-85% on Gleim practice exams

    Well, I'm screwed then. I won't say what I'm getting on them, but it isn't close to that range. Lol

    @Skynet: LOL! I'd agree….So to the OP, you get the idea, right? Did I mention, the SIM truck driver has major road rage issues…

    @ knight rider,

    Oh yeah, unfortunately, I do get it! Lol. Just trying to figure out the best way to review also, these last 2 weeks (take it on 6/10). I was hitting each chapter's lecture, doing both MCQ and SIMs, but that is becoming very time consuming. People say pound nothing but MCQ over and over, but then I feel as though I'm just spitting out MCQ. Not sure of the best way to go. Maybe try to hit “most” of the highly tested areas? Then I run the risk of omitting something. 🙁

    The thing that helped me most with the SIMS is learning how to use the AL. Second, have the MCQ done enough, that I can get to the SIMS w/ a lot of time left.

    Agree with knight. I'm consistently slower with sims. I aim for an average of 65-70 seconds per MCQ to allow for time for sims. Sometimes the research questions are so ambiguous extra time is needed.

    @ Dedicated Guy,

    How are you able to achieve 65-70 seconds per MCQ, being that some of them require pretty intense calcs?

    Excel14 – I knew my previous weakness in other exams was my timing. I focused heavily on over 1500+ Practice problems to get my time down. I also got lucky and didn't get heavy math/ bond related MCQ. However, sims were intense.

    @ Dedicated,

    I understand. Hope the Gods shine on me on 06/10. I'm NOT feeling warm and fuzzy!

    @Excel14
    You got this, still plenty of review time, especially if you get Monday off.
    I highly encourage everyone to take as many days off from work to do nothing but focus for at least 4-5 days leading up to the exam. This allows for catching up on rest and clearing of the mind from all other responsibilities. I was scoring 60% the three weeks leading up to the exam. Fingers crossed for you that you are able to have undistirbed study time.

    @Dedicated Guy,

    Thank you! I'm going to hit it hard these next 2 weeks. Did you pass the exam? I'm guessing you did.

    Anyone see IFRS SIMs? There is yet another weak area for me.

    @Excel14 – yes, I passed. FAR was the most difficult subject for me and required the most study hours. From February through May 12 I probably put in 300 plus hours compared to maybe 80 hours for BEC. I worked really hard on FAR and got an 88. Unlike the ambiguous AUD exam, FAR covers a ridiculous amount of content but is straight forward.
