CPAexcel or Gleim for FAR

Just wondering which course might serve me better for FAR. I used Gleim for the CIA, and just recently the BEC portion of the CPA (hopefully a pass), but just getting some opinions. CPAexcel doesn’t seem to offer a lot of MCQ questions, compared to that of Gleim. Gleim recently ticked me off with not grandfathering me in on premium access for FAR, after it expired when I tried studying for FAR before, but I might crawl back if it’s better. Lol. Thoughts?

I used both. Gleim was great for the sims. CPAExcel was great for the MCQs.

    JohnWayneIsGod,

So you thought CPAexcel provided an adequate number of MCQ then? I've read where many people didn't think the
program offered enough. Also, why Gleim for the SIMS?

Excel14: I used CPAExcel for FAR which I think was ok but I later added Becker and Ninja MCQ. Using MCQ from a variety of courses provides you with different questions and different approaches and different ways of arriving at the same answer so you can go with what's easier for you. One example: I found it hard to grasp reconciling book and tax income with CPAExcel's course but from Becker MCQ I was able to learn it fast and their presentation made it much easier for me to understand.I have not used Gleim before.

    2010:
    BEC: 74, 71, 74, 75
    AUD: 71, 74, 83
    REG: 71, 76
    FAR: (I quit) 34, 45

    2015:
    BEC: 79
    AUD: 78
    REG: 67, 76
    FAR: 56 (trial run), 74, 74, 74, 80!
Thank God. Your prayers are always answered! Do not give up. Thank you St. Joseph Cupertino.

What do you mean by not grandfathering you in?

    FAR - 08/30/15 - 90
    AUD - 11/12/15 - 92
    REG - 01/19/16 - 82
    BEC - 02/29/16 - 83

Passed all on 1st attempt using GLEIM (full program) and NINJA (MCQ only)!!!

They changed the policy regarding giving indefinite access, like 3 months after I had purchased. So, Gleim in essence gave me the same access to videos, etc, but not the luxury of indefinite access, the new premium members receive. I told them that to call me a premium member in name, give me access to everything new premium members get, but then deny me future access when it expired, was quite crappy on their part. The best Gleim would do, was offer me a discount. Still, more money.

@Excel14: I thought CPAExcel had more than enough questions. I used Roger and CPAExcel for MCQs, but it much of my time was with CPAExcel.
