Has anyone ever used Gleim for FAR? I am thinking about buying it if I don’t get a passing score tomorrow on FAR? I will also be using Becker and Ninja? Does anyone know if the multiple choice in Gleim are different? I want a fresh look at questions.

Yes, I used Gleim exclusively for FAR…it was my first ever CPA exam and I passed it using only Gleim. I think Gleim MC are great. There are tons of them and they are much tougher than what you see on the exam for the most part

Thank you. If I don't pass, I think I am going to fork over the $250 and use it with Becker and Ninja MC…this will be my last shot before I lose REG.

I used Gleim for FAR and passed with an 83. I think its a great product but be warned that they are extremely detailed. They teach you everything you need to know and more!

I also used Gleim for all of my exams. As @KC22 stated Gleim is very detailed so I don't see you needing to use Becker with it. Ninja MCQ and Ninja Notes are a good supplement but a full review course like Becker would be a little bit of overkill. Gleim's test bank is tough as nails but it definitely makes the questions on the exam seem easier.

FAR: 80 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
REG: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
BEC: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
    AUD: 8/27/16

Thanks for the info. So if I purchase Gleim, @Andyred04, can you explain the process for Gleim? Lectures and questions like Becker? I will have 8 weeks to study for the FAR retake if necessary. And I definitely want to do Ninja MC again

Gleim breaks FAR into 20 units and there are video lectures, powerpoint presentations, audio lectures, MCQs, and SIMs for each of them. Gleim has a “System for Success” which has you do each of these in a certain order but I didn't follow it hardly at all. My strategy was to just read the text and do MCQs when I was done with the text but that may not work for everyone.

Let's hope you don't have to retake FAR but if you do you'll definitely be able to get through Gleim in 8 weeks.

FAR: 80 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
REG: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
BEC: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
    AUD: 8/27/16

I used Gleim for FAR and FAR laughed at me :(. Seriously, its not Gleim, FAR is just a beast. Whatever material you decide on, make sure you go extra ham.

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

Seems to me that Gleim is pretty underrated when it comes to study courses. They are very fairly priced, seem to offer a ton in the way of materials (most MCQs of any study course by far, I believe), and I know 3 or 4 local folks who passed without any trouble by relying on the Gleim study method. You Gleim users seem to backing these observations up.

I actually found FAR to be the easier of the 4 for me, and i'm hoping I passed. If it wasn't for some very difficult SIMS, I actually think I Would have scored extremely high. I guess I will know in 2 days! I may just stick with becker and ninja MC and just read the book and take notes and redo all MC. Who knows, maybe I will get back a score in the 60's…

Passed all sections with Gleim. One of the best investments I have ever made. Gave everything I needed to pass.

Couldn't pass with other materials but with Gleim was able to pass each one consecutively with no retakes.

Used Gleim for all 4. MC Questions are tougher than the CPA exam. Best investment I've made for sure. Good study materials and tough questions.

FAR is really just a beast though. Most wide spectrum of information in my opinion. Studied more for FAR than any other, but yes, I think Gleim prepared me completely.

Man….after reading this, I may have to reconsider…if I failed, maybe I should just start fresh with Gleim for FAR, and then just do Ninja MC for review……hmmmmm

I'm using only Gleim because my masters program got me a huge discount. I got the full premium review system for only $650, including an access until you pass guarantee. I like it really well and feel like it does a great job preparing you. I watch the videos, read the text, and do practice problems. I took me 3 months to study for FAR working full time, but the first 4-6 weeks I wasn't really that focused and I'm a slow studier on top of that. We'll find out tomorrow how I did!

I'm a huge fan of Gleim. I used just their CMA books in 2011 to easily pass both parts of the CMA exam. This year I've used the CPA review to pass BEC, REG, and AUD. I take FAR on Monday.

    BEC - 90
    REG - July 24th
    AUD - Sept 5th
    FAR - ???

    @Skynet & Others —

Did you follow the Gleim suggested study approach exactly or did you modify it and/or use your own study routine? I am considering purchasing Gleim for BEC.
