Best CPA Study Material – I’m getting back into the CPA studying after taking a long break. I had Becker, but that has expired. I passed BEC using Becker but failed AUD twice and REG once with it, so I want to use something different. I didn’t get much out of the lectures and reading the book puts me to sleep. I really like the Ninja material, listening to the audio on my way home helps me tremendously and the notes are helpful as well. I really like Becker’s MCQ’s but I don’t need all the other stuff (flashcards, books, lectures).
So here’s my question, I’m studying for REG right now and have the Ninja Sniper package. But I need something else; Ninja, for me, is just supplementary. I don’t want to go back to Becker, it’s too pricey and I don’t need all the extras. What other review course should I use?
I see lots of people will do the Wiley 2-week trials several times, just to get the different MCQs and maybe watch a few lectures. What has worked for other people?
On a personal note, I work full-time and am married with 2 kids. I am not able to study 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 3 months. I get a couple of hours in the evenings and then the bulk of my studying will take place on Fridays and Saturdays. But I certainly don’t want to drag out my studying for 6 months for each exam.
Thanks for your input!
