AnonymousInactiveJust read the book a couple of times at least – you will get to the point when things start making sense. I don't think it's an issue with Becker's textbook but with the material covered. I remember feeling the exact way when I started staudying for it as well as during my audit class in college. Good luck!

Determined CPAParticipantI agree. I didn't take FAR yet, but Reg was much easier to understand. I feel like I spend more time trying to figure out what they are saying before I can actually start to do MCQs.
I bought Ninja as a supplement and has really helped.
A - 75
B - 78 God is good.
F - 77 Answered prayers.
R - 84! Done!!Paperwork sent - waiting for license!!
Still on a cloud and in shock. Through God, all things will happen.November 14, 2013 at 9:43 pm #469992

I'm, Ron Burgundy?MemberI'm right there with you. I cannot stand these Auditing Lectures. I'm so close to just reading the Wiley Book and saying screw Becker for AUD.
For the most part when it comes to Becker: You are having someone read a book to you and telling you to highlight a bunch of things. I really don't see where this is helpful. I seriously paid how much for this?

AnonymousInactiveyes, as you start progressing through audit, the lectures begin to build on each other and make more sense in the aggregate. just keep pushing through.

GutiParticipantThe lectures from Audit (Becker) are the reason why Im not a CPA. I took this exam 6 years ago, and took one part at a time every 2.5 months. I passed FAR,BEC, and REG,on my first try, but failed Audit with a 74. Because of family issues, and work, I never went back to finish it and I lost my credits. I will have to use another CPA course for Audit this time around cause I dont think Becker got any better at teaching Audit.

rvcpaMemberThanks to everyone for the feedback! I read it over a couple times now and I am starting to get a hang of it. I think Audit just takes a different style of thinking almost as opposed to FAR.

TDKRParticipantI feel that Becker is very strong with Audit. They do prepare you well for the exam, much better than REG.
I also highly recommend reading the book as Audit is very conceptual Vs. FAR (more calculation and JEs)
REG - 72, 72, 81
BEC - 77
FAR - 70, 81
AUD - 74 "so that's what it feels like." Round 2: 79Passing the exam is not impossible task. GIVING UP is the only way YOU can make it impossible!

AnonymousInactiveI passed Audit on my second try using Becker. I listened to the videos all the way through the second time as well. Completed all of the MC not once, twice but THREE times the second time around. Recorded ALL of the different types of opinions, reviews, compilations, etc. and LISTENED to them over and over and over. Yes, the material is involved but it is up to the individual to get through that material in whatever manner necessary to pass not only Audit but the remaining parts as well.
You can't blame ANY review course for not passing.
