I apologize for not searching for this question. It’s just that I want the most recent experiences and truth be told I dont have the time to search at work.

So my strategy for passing FAR is to ace the SIMS. How well does the wiley sims prepare you for the actual exam sims? Is the Becker sims any better?

I took AUD and I dont believe the wiley sims were helpful at for that exam. Should I expect the same with FAR?

Good question! I have Wiley and Becker both and I haven't really started the SIMs yet–plus can't remember from the last time I took them. Actually, I do remember, chapter 3 SIMS for Becker were very good. I also remember a few of my SIMs on the actual exam were very similar to both Wiley & Becker. If you have both reviews, and have the time, you might as well hit them both up. Practice SIMs with journal entries I'd say. About to do Wiley SIMs today–I'll report back.

I have said this like a gazillion times, but here I go again . For final review I'm doing the AICPA Adapted Problems from my Intermediate and Advanced Accounting books. These problems are long, dry, and boring (just like the exam). JE's and balances…My Advanced Accounting book even has a AICPA Adapted problem for GNFP….If you can do these, I bet my coke that you can do any simulation on the exam..God bless you all…lol

@Mark Lol! I have never thought about going back to my Intermediate book… I hated that class… I hope it works for you!

I always use my college books because it's only one chapter instead of modules…Only for the complicated topics though..It always works.. 🙂

@markiux88, which book do you have for intermediate, I have Kieso Weygandt Warefield, 13th edition. What kind of problems do they have there that you do for exmple?

yes I use that one and Beams for Adv acg…I do the ones labeled AICPA Adapted which pretty much include everyting (not all of them though)

One of my FAR sims was straight out of Becker and also drew upon one of the things they recommended to memorize.
