    Becker Question –

Cuz I’m wondering how the test scores are related to the real exam scores, if ever….

I know they are not a good indication, because the real exam gets progressively harder as you do better…but here’s what I got:

    Test exam 1: 83, 80, 83

    Test exam 2: 83, 83, 80

My exam is on Friday. I don’t know if I should prepare myself more…or what? I haven’t studied the material on Sampling, and Single Audits (the omb-circular crap)

Took both Becker AUD finals, got all scores above 95% but on the actual exam got only 92. Why score was lower I have no clue, just speculations that other candidates prepared better, but it is close enough to the practice finals to be a good indicator.

Now, compare that to FAR, got around mid 80's on review finals and got 86 on the actual exam.

Conclusion, although where are no guarantees of anything, I've noticed that as long as one gets decent passing grades on those review finals, it should not be a problem once exam day comes. Just make sure to complete all sims and don't skip materials even if the review instructor says that is not heavily emphasized (AICPA seems to emphasize a lot of random stuff personally evidenced in each test I've taken so far).

Don't have hopes too high that sampling won't be on the test, just saying…Better listen lecture now.

I think the better gauge for your actual exam score is the percentage correct on ALL questions in Becker. Since there are only 90 questions (with some of them not being graded) and only 6 TBS (with 1 not being graded), many of the questions are hit-or-miss. You might get 2 questions wrong on the actual exam just because you got the W/P document retention period for issuers mixed up with non-issuers. To put it in simple terms: the % correct on 1,000+ questions is going to give you a better gauge of your knowledge than the % correct on 90 questions. I found that my actual exam scores are about 4-6% higher than my TOTAL score for all questions. Also, I calculate simulation scores by counting each input as 1 point.
