I remember earlier on in my review course the instructor told us the importance of F8 and F9.

When do you suggest i study for F8 and F9. Should i follow Becker’s outline from F1-F9 or do something along the lines of F1-F4, F8-F9, F5-7

I think studying F8 and F9 last is good because it will be more fresh in your mind for when you take it. It is very important.

    BEC - 80
    FAR - Awaiting score!
    AUD - 66, Retake on 10/1
    REG -

I personally would recommend studying F8 and 9 early on because they are fairly easy and are basically purely memorization. I studied them last before I took the exam when i failed and ended up stronger on F8 and 9 but weaker on the others.

I think you can study them early on and then just review them later and you should be fine. Focus on harder topics like leases, pensions, like kind exchanges and all the relevant journal entries.

Whenever you do end up studying it, I would recommend studying it a second time later. I didn't have enough time to properly study it a second time (I probably didn't study it very well the first time) and did not know those topics so well.

Turns out F8 & F9 were the only topics I was stronger on according to my score report. Becker is really good at explaining them and, studying them at the end isn't bad. At least for me, I retained that info.

I have to say that Becker was great for me. I rewatched lecture 8 and 9 2 days before I took the exam. I averaged 55-60s on the practice exams and was freaking out. My sutdy plan was:

Mon- Lecture and questions – 4 hours

    Tues- Questions-4 hours

    Wednesday- Questions- 4 hours

Thur- Lecture and Questions- 4 hours

    Friday- Questions- 4 hours

    Sat- Questions- 4 Hours

Sun- Review the week and pull a little from past lectures.

For every question I got wrong I wrote out an explanation and the concept that I was sucking at. I finished lectures 1-5 in 2.5 weeks, reviewed all that for a week, then went back and finished the rest up. I gave myself 2 weeks of just reviewing the material, taking practice exams, notecards, and writing everything. It was a pain but in the end I passed FAR my first time around.

    FAR: 82 (11/16)
    AUD: (2/2012)
    REG: (5/2012)
    BEC: (8/2012)

You should balance re-reviewing with the time length of your total study process. The longer your time frame, you have to spend more time relearning topics and additional time to keep things fresh. I did FAR in about 3.5 weeks and found that going forward at a brisk pace helps keep things fresh automatically since even near the end your oldest material still wasn't too long ago. This also assumes you have the ability to commit about 20+ hours per week.

The order F1-F9 works fine. No topics are particularly more/less important than others, so go in whatever order you like, but remember that repetition, repetition, repetition is the key for FAR. Good luck!

    BEC 86 (08/30/11)
    FAR 84 (10/13/11)
    REG 88 (11/08/11)
    AUD 86 (11/29/11)

@ See Pee A, you only needed 3.5 weeks and got a 84? What review course are you taking? How many hrs a day in average were you studying?
