    Hello Everyone,

I recently started working at a big acct firm and they gave us Becker. I started studying this week and I feel I do not gain much from listening to the lectures and highlighting everything extremely quickly. When I get to the homework problems, I usually get 50-60% correct the first try and I write out answers and explanations for all questions I guess on or get wrong. So my question is would it be wise to skip the lectures, jump into MCQ’s problems and write everything out and then go back to the text book and read at my own pace the areas I have difficulty in? I plan to take audit in end of July.

    Thanks!

I wasted a lot of time watching the lectures. It wasn't until the 3rd chapter that I decided to skip over them. Now I read the chapter first on my own then do mcq. I have the ninja audio and ninja notes. Writing the ninja notes over a couple of times has helped me nail the basics and I am in the review phase now. I am taking BEC, not AUD, but they both have the same amount of chapters in Becker. I have a little less than 3 weeks and I'm trying to do as many mcq as I can and write notes on them. Everyone has a different way of learning. I didn't think that I was an auditory learner but I am now talking along with Jeff when listening to the audio. Hopefully my input helps. Good luck!
