Becker Question –

To use or not to use for FAR?

I was told not to use it because those questions were released because either they were pretests or poorly worded questions that won’t be used again.

All publishers have them … they won't be used again…for what that's worth.

Did I practice them? no.

For some reason i think it will be extremely beneficial

Go ahead and work them, it's a nice little practice, but they are not intended to be used again since they probably had low correct % or poorly worded or some other issue. Use them as a last measure of sorts after you exhaust all other questions.

You know, I'm puzzled by this. I had read that the AICPA released questions were “retired” and wouldn't be used again, but I had a few on my AUD section that were in the most recent “released questions”. I had printed those out and studied them and came across at least two that were supposedly “retired”. Not to mention all the ones that I saw that were VERBATIM from my review software.

DEFINITELY study them…sometimes all they do is is improve the wording on retired questions. I studied them for all section and was very happy that I did

I had the same experience! There were some that were the same on AUD! So glad I did them!

I definitely recommend that you studying them. I found them very helpful for all parts of the CPA exam! I would generally study 5 years worth.
