Taking intense notes with Becker not the best route?

I am writing notes while going over the Becker lectures on a separate sheet of paper but i don’t feel like i am retaining anything really. I know that once i do multiple choice questions and go back and look over the notes they will make much more sense. I am just wondering if anyone has had any success with going over the ninja notes, re-writing those, and retaining materials. In other words, is it advised to copy the ninja notes to satisfy the “intense notes” section of the ninja framework? Because if it is, i feel like i should just re-write those notes instead of mine from the becker lectures.

@thebigguy1992 – I haven't bought Ninja but I am using Becker and IMHO I don't think taking notes is the most efficient use of time because (for me at least) this isn't how I retain material. Re-writing/taking notes seems to work for a lot of people though and is a pillar of the Ninja system. I think the most effective way to learn from the Becker course is to do the lecture and underline important stuff (I personally hate highlighting so I underline) and then do the MCQ's until you feel like you are going to throw up. Also, after answer the questions, read the explanations for the correct/incorrect answers to the question to understand the rationale for your correct/incorrect answer. In your final review before the test, go back through the chapters and review the underlined/important sections then keep doing MCQ's.

    Good Luck!

I am retaking BEC and while I am still watching the lectures and have my book open, I am writing the notes for myself in a notebook “simultaneously”. Basically I am pausing a lot. It is taking longer, but it is really driving home some of the material. I already had a pretty good grasp on the material last time I sat, but this method is definitely refining my knowledge.

I have a plan one day lecture and one day MCQ. I have gone through the whole book almost one time. I will have approximately 2 weeks to do pure MCQ prior to my exam.

Another suggestion for you would be to watch the lecture and do the MCQ one time through. Then go back and write the notes and do the MCQ another time through. I had to do that with AUD. If you don't know the way they will be asking the questions it is hard to conceptualize what they are explaining.

It is a must to go through the material twice, in my opinion.

What I did was after the videos for the chapter I would rewrite everything I highlighted and wrote down during the vids….I would read those notes when I had free time like at night while my wife was watching tv….

mla has posted in some threads where she rewrote the Ninja notes over and over and that helped her. I have also seen some posts on the forum where people rewrite the Ninja notes as well.

I rewrote the ratios each night and to be honest, when I was doing it in the beginning it seemed like a waste of time. But after the first week I realized that I was starting to remember things. The materials somehow sticks.

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.
