Do I have to do the SIMS to get a score? I never did one before, how are the results presented?

    It's timed for four hours.

3 testlets with 30 questions each

    SIMS 7 of them.

I skipped the SIMS except for the research question. I feel like they are worthless as they aren't representative of the real deal according to everyone… way easier.

The questions however are great! They are comprehensive and hard. They'll give you an idea of what you are doing well with and not so well.

I went through all the questions & once you're done you go to the score page which gives you a % for each testlet. If you want an average I would just add them all up and divide by 3. There is threads sharing what the scores mean & its a great way to get some more MCQ exposure along with an idea of where you are at.

No, you do not have to do the Sims. If you're learning methodology is through examining the results then don't do the Sims. Many people will say that the practice exam is to help you get a good feeling before the the actual exam.

Warning: One time I did this the test froze and gave me a 0 as my score, so I had to retake the practice exam. Do yourself a favor and fill in 1 random blank with any response.

    Thanks, all.

Was just wondering, is the practice exam preset, i.e., doesn't change based on performance from a medium testlet to difficult, etc.
