My buddy is letting me use his 2011 REG stuff and I know some laws have changed. What are some key ones I should be aware of as I go through the outdated questions?

I know Section 179 is now $139,000, instead of $500,000.

A few AGI phase outs are a tad higher like 90-110, now its like 92-112k for some retirement stuff.

And how crucial is it to memorize the specific phase outs and such?
