Study FAR using old 2011 Becker materials or order the 2013 materials?

So I have the Becker 2011 material that I purchased a while back and I am trying to decide if I should use those materials or possibly order the 2013 materials. I know that Becker has updates, but wanted to get opinions on if there is much of a difference. Any thoughts?

There will definitely be differences but it's up to you whether you want to spend the time studying and then making sure you also study all the updates or if you just want to spend the money. It depends on how much time you have, I guess 🙂 Personally, I would just buy the 2013 materials but if you don't want to spend a lot of money on Becker, research some other courses. I've seen tons of peole on here who love Yaeger and swear by it for FAR. I'm using Rogers which was ~$700 and I really like it. With those two courses, you get access to the Wiley Testbank which is much better than the Becker MCQ's. Just some options for you!

AUD: PASSED [81]; Expired, retaking August 23rd
BEC: PASSED [83]; Expired, retaking July 11th
    REG: PASSED [83]
FAR: FAILED [64]; Retaking May 23rd

That's how I did it: I use Becker 2011 in Jan this year. I went to the Becker website and there you can download all the updates and new release questions from AICPA for 2012 and for 2013. I passed the exam.

hey buddy1981, just wondering what you decided to do here, and how you subsequently did on the FAR exam

I am in the same predicament.

    Thanks

    FAR - 1/26/2012 - PASSED (78, but Lost credit), re-do 11/27/2013 - PASSED (87)!
    AUD - EPIC FAIL, 71, 69; 68; 5/25/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    REG - 10/1/2012 - 72; 7/1/2013 - 73 UGH, 10/1/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    BEC - 2/28/2013 - PASSED (82)!
    Licensed CPA!

Used Becker self-study materials (just this for FAR original & REG #1), WileyTestBank, NINJA notes/audio, and Roger cram course for AUD #5, REG #3 & FAR reboot. CPA!
