Ok i just finished chapter 2 and that was a mess. That for me at least was the hardest chapter out of all four of the Tests so far. For all of you that have used Becker’s for BEC can you tell me how hard the actual test is in comparison to Beckers. If the test is as difficult as chapter 2 then boy im in trouble. Seriously their is some serious freaking out going on right now. I would say that out of every homework i get roughly 60% then i go in and do the rest but their is like around 10 on every homework that just completely leaves me with an open mouth. Any advice helps.

I was stressed about B2. However, I didn't see much of it at all on the exam. I would be sure to know variances well.

    And KNOW B4 WELL!

@shanek Gladly, so Reg studying was difficult, i can tell you that majority of the test was easier then Beckers, make sure to know how to calculate liquidation for corps and partnerships. My test had almost nothing from chapter 5, b-law wasnt all that heavy, though you should now it dont freak out about details just understand concept overall. Also a question that i had before my test was should i know phaseouts, and i didnt see any phase outs. As for the Sims, those were brutal, i feel theirs just not way to study for them, i did all the Beckers sims, and they are a good study tool but nothing in comparison. Do Beckers, and supplement with Ninja, i did hundreds of questions and that did the trick. Again to stress this point, i had alot of liquidation questions. But Beckers was overall harder then actual exam.

Chapters 2 and 3 in Becker's BEC book are by far the hardest – finishing those might take you more time than covering the remaining 4 chapters. You do need to have a solid understanding of the material to pass; but don't freak out, usually you only get a couple math-heavy questions that are time-consuming.

Overall, I thought BEC was the hardest section of all, especially B2 and B3 topics, but I know many people who claim it to be “easy.”

Theirs so many mixed feelings about this exam, most people on this site seem to either pass with 85+ or fail. This is really nerve wrecking.

    Becker Final Test #1 = 86 (weighted WC 100%)
    Actual Exam = 91

I wouldn't freak out too much, wasn't too bad.

    F | 88 (7/15)
    B | 91 (8/15)
    R | 82 (10/15)

I know this will sound crazy, but you WILL pass. I used only used becker when studying. The biggest thing for me was writing out my OWN flashcards (beckers are useful, but it's just not the same). Know your variances and you will be fine.

FYI, the writing section is a breeze. All you have to do is regurgitate the question and fill in some fluff. The testers want to make sure you can write clearly and concisely, your technical knowledge is not as important.

Based on your prior exams (passing on first time, well done) I'm confident you'll do just as well on BEC.

    FAR - 75
    AUD - 83
    BEC - 85
    REG - 72, retake October 2015 - 85 PASS!

    And I'm DONE. Praise!

If you pass on Becker's two exams and don't go on mental vacation prior to your actual exam, you'll be fine.

Thanks you everyone. I have gotten nervous before all exams, but this one in particular has me a little more worried then the rest just because of the difficulty of chapter 2. I start chapter 3 tonight, and i hope it gives up a little.

So much easier after the variance and budget stuff. Its mostly definitions after that. Best part of chapter six is that it repeats in some form through Audit and Reg so you should have most of that down.

No problem. Just keep going, you've got three down, then at the very least, you get a month of rest awaiting results. That is how I approached my last exam, AUD.

My becker practice test scores for BEC were:
72 taken half way through my review “week” (only 4 days)
79 taken the day before my test

I went through and really understood all the questions I got wrong and all the questions I guessed on. I also timed myself to try to get through it with at least an hour remaining for the writing section.

I ultimately passed with an 81. Honestly, the questions are similar. The difference between the practice test and the actual test is 3 or 4 “lay up” questions that are on the actual test that are not on the practice.

Becker Practice Test for BEC after going through all sections one time:

    Exam 1: 65
    Exam 2: 55

Then I reviewed everything one more time.

    Actual: 84

I was getting around 60-70% on my first attempts at the practice questions as well. There definitely were not as many lengthy questions on the actual exam compared to Becker. For me, the first testlet was extremely easy, second testlet was hell, and third testlet was in between.
