Hey palal, if you haven't seen my FAR thread I made last week after I took the exam, go take a look at it: https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/oh-noez-your-stupid-far-sims-just-sunk-my-battleship
Anyhow, I thought/know I dominated the MC portion. With that being said, I was scoring between 65-75 on the final review MCQs. I would just say go through the Becker Final Review MCQs and try to get a grasp on the questions you missed (and why you missed them). Overall though, I would not be worried as long as you're not missing the easy one sentence questions.
Finally, my advice for you once you sit for the exam is this:
Don't get caught up on those 3-4+ sentence questions or other specific questions you find hard. If you can figure out the answer within 30-60 seconds after reading the question, that's great. On the other hand, if you read the question and kind of think you know the answer (or how to get it), but you're not sure, either just make your best guess or mark the question and move on. If you mark the question and come back to it later, DO NOT spend another 2-3+ minutes trying to figure out the answer at the end of your testlet (especially if you have more than 3-4+ marked items). This is what made my test so brutal at the end…
I bet I spent an extra 5-10 minutes at the end of each of my testlets trying to figure out the 2-3 ‘tough' questions that I was not entirely sure about. Overall, that turned out to be a good 15-30 minutes that I lost for the sims. The worst part about it is that I don't even think I changed one of my answers. Looking back on it now all I can do is laugh.
Finally, once I got to the sims, I had just over an hour left to finish all 7 sims. I don't know if you have read many of the posts on here concerning the FAR sims for this quarter, but the consensus is that they are brutal! I really needed much more time to finish them.
Obviously the lesson you can take from here is that you need to minimize your time spent taking the first 3 testlets so you can maximize the time spent on your 7 sims. Don't get bogged down by a minority of tough questions on your first three testlets. You are EXPECTED to get some answers wrong in each section (especially the ‘hard testlets'). I'm sure that as long as you manage your time well (i.e. have enough time to do all the sims without being rushed) you should be fine.
