Roger CPA vs. Becker for Audit ?

I’m looking for a good review product for AUD since this will be the last section I need after I take FAR next week. I have heard good things about both Becker and Roger. Wanted to get some feedback from those who have used either product.

Did you think it prepared you well enough to pass audit? If you have used either one and didn’t pass was there something about the product that made you regret buying it?

I love Roger. I was unsuccessful the first time I took it in May, but I love his teaching style! Even though I was unsuccessful, I don't regret going with his program. I am taking AUD again on the 23rd.

    I am also Pro Roger.

My suggestion is go on to You Tube and check out some of teaching methods… see if you like that style or not.

I would also see if you can find samples of videos from other course providers. That way you can decide which CPA reviewer works best for you.

Also you can just buy the full course for just one subject like AUD but not for the others. That way if you end up saying its isnt for me you can at least shop around for the other subjects 🙂

I am also a huge Roger fan! I am using videos and materials to study and I couldn't be more satisfied. I have friends who have tried both Becker and Roger and always seem to flock towards Roger when it counts. He has a few free videos on his website that will give you a taste of what he provides.

I used only Becker and I passed AUD a few months ago – I thought Becker totally prepared me for the exam, I walked out feeling okay (which is really the best I could have hoped for haha) but at least I didn't walk out feeling like I was unprepared. I think Becker definitely covers all the material you need and does a good job of prepping you for AUD. My friends are also Becker-only CPAs and they swear by it. I think it just depends on what you feel works best for you.

    FAR - 87!
    AUD - 90!
    REG - 83!
    BEC - 85!! I'M DONE!!!

I used Becker only for AUD and passed the first time. Never tried Roger so I can't comment on that.

I do not do *any* financial statement work at my job.

Audit is a LOT of memorization. Of course all of them are, but to me, Audit was more because it's just a mass of rules with no math involved, and it's not even intuitive rules like in business law. I did just about every single MCQ in Becker, listened to the lectures on the CD and also went to the live classes.

    Best of luck to you.
