Anyone have any recommendations? I have not used Becker since 2008. I used Roger, ninja notes and the wiley testbank for audit, and Yaeger and bunch of supplements (e.g. ninja notes, ninja audio) for FAR.

Do you have a job that will pay for your review course? I generally recommend Becker to people in that situation, because from my experience it has been pretty spot-on about what to expect on the exam. However, it's extremely pricey. If you don't have an employer that'll pay for it, I'd go for a cheaper alternative.

    BEC - 90 PASSED
    FAR - 84 PASSED
    AUD - 93 PASSED
    REG - 84 PASSED

    I DID IT!!!!

I purchased becker BEC back in 2008, as I talked to a customer service rep and I qualitfy for the previous student discount making it half off that section or around $550. My current employer does not pay for cpa review material. Roger vs. Becker with the previous student discount is about $100 difference with becker being more expensive.

    Easy Button:

If you liked Roger for AUD … roll with him again.

If you didn't … go the other route.

I switched to Roger on my 3rd BEC attempt. Attempt 1 & 2 I used Bisk, I really like it. I also highly recommend NINJA notes for BEC I used them on my 3rd attempt as well, I believe all benefited in my passing score.

    FAR- 69, 80
    BEC- 69, 69, 78
    AUD-59, 11/19/12
    REG- 79

I thought BECKER was good for BEC. That's all I used and passed just fine. But I'm sure Roger is fine also.

To be honest, if I were you, I'd just go with whatever is cheaper. And BEC has a lot of easier surface level type problems (there are just alot of them), so if you need an alternative explanation the web is a good alternative source/supplement for explanations to areas you don't understand.

    REG - Passed!!
    BEC - Passed
    FAR - Passed
    AUD - Passed

I used Yaeger for 3 attempts and came up with a 73, 74, and a 71. I was about to throw in the towel but read a lot of people recommending Roger and I am so glad I made the change. His high energy and crazy little stories to get you to remember the information really makes it stick. I also am a HUGE fan of Jeff's audio lectures. I drive a lot of work so its added study time that I otherwise would miss out on. I don't think you can go wrong with Roger and the NINJA materials for the price really.

I have only used Becker, and so far passed REG & BEC first try, and AUD got a 71. Without knowing about the other review courses, I would say Becker is all you need to pass the CPA.

    Becker is $1,105

    Roger is $595

    People pass using both courses.

Now that I think about it, I skipped all the Becker lectures… and I'm sure those are part of the reason why it's so expenssive. I probably could have passed using only Jeff's notes and the Wiley TB lol. Oh well, at least my company paid for Becker.
