Anyone know how much you would have to pay back a big 4 for a Becker course if you left during your first year? I’m sure they get them at a pretty deep discount but would they would really try to make you give them the amount for the full course?

I don't think that you have to pay them back unless it says so in your signing agreement. At my current firm, we actually have to sign a payback agreement stating that if we left within 2 years of taking the exam, we'd have to pay them back. From my experience w/ the Big 4, no one has had to pay back their CPA fees. But I last worked in Big 4 in 2009.

I work for the government, I could've left the day after they reimbursed me for the becker materials and not paid a cent back.

The discount (supposedly) isn't that big–at least for one section only. I ended up getting taxed on $1100'ish for AUD. I actually had them track down a billing statement as it seemed too high. That said, dont think you'd ever have to pay it back.
