Hi guys,

My question is for those of you who use Becker materials but follow the Ninja Study method. This is my first attempt at REG and at using the Ninja method. I plan on purchasing the 10 point combo as well as soon as I get my funds in order but my main questions is do you watch the lecturs for all the chapters without doing any MCQ? Or do you watch the lecture of the chapter all the way through and then go back and do a couple MCQ for each section and then move on? Any advice on what has worked for you guys in the past?

I just started studying for REG 2 days ago. I have ninja + Becker 2014 but do not plan on watching the lectures. I am going to read each chapter in the becker book, read the ninja notes for each section, do the becker multiple choice then move on to the next chapter. Once I finish doing that I will go through all of the WTB and ninja notes over and over again. (I am also a masters of tax student)

Honestly in my opinion the lectures don't help you retain any information.

I am taking REG on Thursday, so I apologize for not being able to tell you how well this works. I did listen/watch all of the Becker lectures, BUT I did not do any of the highlighting/note-taking in the actual book. I took my own notes from the lecture, pausing the video when needed. This process allowed me to listen, write and paraphrase concepts in ways that made sense to me or would help me remember the material. Doing this also gives you a set of notes that is easier to review than the whole book. After watching each lecture, I would complete all of the MCQ's for that chapter. Then, I moved on to the next chapter. I have also been listening to the Ninja Audio Notes whenever I can to reinforce the most important concepts and material.

Again, I don't know how well this is going to play out for me, but I can let you know on March 7! Happy Studying and Good Luck!
