I took my first REG final exam, no simulations. I got 62%, 70%, and 66% on the three sections. I feel like I haven’t really mastered the REG material and most of my answers were guesses. I know Becker exams are more difficult because in the past I scored around 67% on FAR finals and 83% on AUD.

I still plan on going through all MC’s one more time and reviewing all practice sims and final test sims once. My question is are REG becker final exams more difficult than actual ones like FAR. Also, how prepared did you feel going into the exam on material? Are the simulations the most difficult part of the REG exam? Thanks for the help.

You're in good shape. I scored 62, 58, and 70 on final exam 1 of becker and 62, 75, 50 on final exam 2 and passed with a 77. This included not writing one entire communication tab.

kinda hard to answer your question because as you know the exam gets harder the better you do, becker doesn't. But i can tell you my 1st testlet on the actual exam was easier than becker's exam. also, i don't think anyone actually feels 100% ready for these exams, it's just so much information.

I hope i get the same luck as you. i got an avg of 60 on becker exam 1 and an avg of 70 on exam 2. just took REG last week and wrote absolute nonsense on 1 communication tab

I had alway found Becker's Practice Final Exams harder than the real thing especially BEC. I would say that Becker prepared me adequately for the exams. Also, I never passed a single Becker Practice Final Exams, usually scored in the mid 60s overall but I always gave myself 5 points on the written to be conservative.

Just a general question, when everyone takes the Becker Final Exams, Do you take it under test conditions or do you just do the multiple choice questions? I believe you should take the exams under test conditions and complete all the testlets including the communications. There is nothing like good practice in your time management skills and the Becker final exams are good practice in this aspects.

drive_is_my_asset-Also, I would say that you are probably doing okay. With your other scores, if you continue your study program which is obviously working, you should do fine.

@ drive_is_my_asset – You are in decent shape, but I would make sure you do the 2nd practice exam and review ALL the questions and answers. I found that the Becker exams were harder than my actual exam, but I think I scored around 70 on the practice and 79 on the real thing. I would use these final days to redo as many MCQ's as you can and take another fully simulated exam under testing conditions. Good luck 🙂

Like others have said I found the practice finals harder than what I actually saw. Review the topics you weren't comfortable with and do the other practice final.

Honestly, I took the REG final exam on Becker the day before I took the actual REG exam. I only got 60% on the Becker portion and was completely bummed. Then went into the exam and found it to be exponentially easier. It seemed that the hardest actual exam questions I got were about the average question in Becker. I ended up scoring an 87 on REG so I think if you're scoring around 60% on the Becker exam then you should be good.

Just took my other practice exam… 62, 83, 83 on MC's. Didn't do the sims yet. I feel better after going through the MCs again. Thursday I'm reviewing my whole book as a refresher. Friday I am going over all of the simulations reviewing answers after finishing each section. Saturday I am sitting for REG.

I have not brushed up on any current tax law (new numbers) aside from what I learned in Becker 2010. Any advice on numbers to remember that have changed this year? Where is a good source to find these changes? Thanks.
