Reading Becker Book (FAR). How long is it taking you per chapter?

I feel like it’s probably a good idea to read the Becker chapters and get an understanding of all the details rather than skim through the chapters quickly and just worry about the MCQ’s.

Anybody here actually reading the book like page per page? How long is it taking you to go through each chapter? Not including practicing MCQ’s or watching lectures.

Ugh, this takes me like at least 2-3 hours. I write down important notes and make flashcards (which I never even really use after but they help to just write down the concepts). I hate this part almost more than just watching the lecture.

AUD: PASSED [81]; Expired, retaking August 23rd
BEC: PASSED [83]; Expired, retaking July 11th
    REG: PASSED [83]
FAR: FAILED [64]; Retaking May 23rd

Me too must pass I don't really retain anything from the becker lecture instead after the lecture I start reading and take notes and I made flash cards but I don't use them either. It helps me cuz when I write I retain the materials. Btw I passed aud n bec w this method! FAR is next …

2-3 hours is very good, going through an average of 60-70 pages. That's not bad at all!

I wish it had only taken me 2 – 3 hours to knock out 1 chapter!!! I read FAR Becker book page by page taking notes. It took an average of 2 – 3 days if I was studying an average of 2-3 hours in the evenings during the work week. Weekends I could knock out about 2 chapters.

Reading the text book page by page and taking my own notes was the best route I could have taken to pass FAR and REG. Much more beneficial than watching the lectures over.

    AUD - 90 Pass
REG - 70,61,81 Pass DONE DONE DOOOOONNEEE!!!!!!!!
    BEC - 79 - Pass
    FAR - 70,82 - Pass

Yeah, I start off by reading the textbook first and then I use what they say in the lectures to prioritize which parts are more important.

I make my own notes based off the reading and it usually takes me at least 6 hours per chapter (+ another 4 for lectures).

It was tedious but it helped a lot.
