My Becker license will expire in 6 days. I have passed three of the four parts and only have BEC remaining. I qualify for the Becker Promise but I believe that I have to pay $200 to renew the section.

I’m looking for opinions/suggestions – should I renew my license and spend the $200? Or should I just cram all the lectures in over the next few days, read the book/take notes on my own, and buy a Wiley book for much less? Do you think Wiley will be sufficient for questions? Does Wiley offer practice simulations as well?

Never change a winning strategy.

First, call Becker and say you just need two extra weeks and you will be done. They will likely just extend you the two extra weeks. If they dont, pony up the $200. Well worth the price of admission.

Thanks for the input…I will call them on Monday and see what they will do for me. It has worked well so far (only two fails but very close both of those times). I guess in the grand scheme of things…it's only $200… 🙂

@CPA9378 I recently obtained a license renewal from Becker. If you contact Becker about an extension, they will require you to submit proof that you have your exam scheduled. They are very prompt about responding. My exam is Monday and my software expires Tuesday.

I believe they will extend it if you tell them. My coworkers have used other tricks with the software as well

They extended it for me once, I had to send them my confirmation from prometric with my scheduled exam date and they extended it until then.
