I am a little nervous after loading up my 2011 Wiley test bank for FAR. I was feeling really confident for FAR after getting a good grasp of Becker’s multiple choice questions. So I decided to begin overkill and started to do WIley multiple choice questions.

An hour later I am all flustered with anxiety because I was getting less than half right. I have 9 days to finish my FAR studying and now I am nervous that Wiley and Becker problems are so foreign from each other. Any recommendations or insights from people who used both programs? I think I am going to spend the rest of my nine days on the Wiley test bank.

I also am concerned that I am missing the analytical skills to figure out new problems that I have not seen:(

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

“I go to WTB then I find that there are many things covered there and not in my review and then you wonder if you are really good prepared to go to take the exam.” This is the major problem that I have with Wiley. A lot of random things i have not seen in Becker, yet a lot of people who score in the 90's use Becker. So why all this extra stuff? Some subjects are harder than Becker and other subjects are easier. So as a result some days I am feeling good about myself and other days I am not. I like the repetition in Becker with a lot of similar problems that build on each other and also help build my confidence. Wiley on the other hand each question is a different topic and not many questions help build your understanding on a specific topic. That being said if I had another week or two I would try to finish Wiley. Love inventory turnover questions!

Study Monk, it would help if you also had Wiley textbooks because all their MCQ are based on theory covered in the books. That's why you are not able to answer some of them since Wiley covers more topics than Becker.

Also, make sure you review all the pass key sections in your Becker books the day before your exam.

I didn't use Becker software so can't really compare but I had the books and I liked them for the most part.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14
