Problems with Wiley Multiple Choice Questions After Doing Becker - Page 4

I am a little nervous after loading up my 2011 Wiley test bank for FAR. I was feeling really confident for FAR after getting a good grasp of Becker’s multiple choice questions. So I decided to begin overkill and started to do WIley multiple choice questions.

An hour later I am all flustered with anxiety because I was getting less than half right. I have 9 days to finish my FAR studying and now I am nervous that Wiley and Becker problems are so foreign from each other. Any recommendations or insights from people who used both programs? I think I am going to spend the rest of my nine days on the Wiley test bank.

I also am concerned that I am missing the analytical skills to figure out new problems that I have not seen:(

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

Monk, I passed FAR, REG and got a 74 in Audit about six years ago. I lost my credits because of family issues, and now Im back to finish this exam for good.

Study Monk – if your software is testing over SFAS 2 material (relevance, fair representation, reliability and all of that) – that was superseded after 2011 I believe…just a heads-up.

Thanks Jeff that is really considerate of you to give me a heads up! Luckily Becker's mnemonics have me strong on those topics. My main study program is 2012 Becker for FAR. I will have 2014 materials for my other 3 exams.

Honestly I can tell Wiley Test Bank would of been a good resource to partner with Becker. Unfortunately with just 4 days to prepare for FAR I think I am better off refreshing on concepts and reviewing journal entries. With me averaging 2 minutes per question on the WIley and me spending more than half my time on questions I understand I think I am getting diminishing returns. Not to mention there are so many questions and misc topics that Becker doesn't cover. In a perfect world I would master both, but at this point the faster I can move through information the better.

@NYIACCT89 Really good comment thanks for that.

You know what guys? I think what is really shocking for all of us is the time. I feel the same with Roger review, when I do the questions and TBSimulations I feel great, I understand very well and have minimum errors but when I go to WTB then I find that there are many things covered there and not in my review and then you wonder if you are really good prepared to go to take the exam.

For sure this is an issue when your timeline is really short, but, this is definitely a good experience for the next exams.

Myself I'm considering mastering the concepts with Roger and forget about Wiley for the rest of material I miss.

I will figure out if this worth or not in the exam day!

@Monk You started studying few weeks ago, feel confident with the things you know now and stop doing WTB, go and write your exam! As you see, we all have many issues with WTB that are different from our reviews, so, at the end of the day people is passing the sections!

Good luck and don't worry, you will pass!
