[I'm, Ron Burgundy?]

Okay, so I have been studying primarily with Becker and have been supplementing with the Wiley Test Bank. I am killing the Wiley Practice exams but am bombing the Becker Practice Exams. Nearly a 20 point differential between the two at times. So, what gives? Is Becker overly difficult or is it that the Wiley Test Bank is a joke? Also, Wiley comes up with their Practice Exams by compiling the MCQ’s that I’ve already worked a half dozen times. Becker seems to come up with questions far out of left field.

Anyone have any insight?

Well, if you've worked the questions half a dozen times in Wiley but Becker is out of left field, wouldn't that explain the difference in scores?

I have found Wiley to be very close to the actual exam. But the actual doesn't try so hard to trip you up with overly difficult tricks. If you know the concepts for the questions in Wiley, and haven't just memorized them, you are all set to pass.

@MCLKT…I thoroughly understand the concepts in Wiley. There are still a few things they throw at me that get me stumped. However, overall I am very good at the material they cover and know the ins and outs of disseminating the fact pattern and formulas to arrive at the correct answers. I'm just worried this time around as it's going to be my 3rd time taking this (what I feel to be absolutely pointless) BEC exam. 3 times and I feel like I've been studying this material non stop for the last 6 months to the point where I have everything memorized. Which is stressing me out because I'm afraid I'm just doing the same thing over and over and am not prepared for any curve balls. It's the whole “doing the same thing over and over expecting a new result is the definition of insanity” thing that's bothering me.

Also, if I don't pass this time around I don't know what I'm going to do. I'll lose my mind if I have to spend another 2 months studying Corporate Governance and IT. I'll probably start focusing on studying for REG, completely stop studying for BEC but take it every single window until I pass. I'm so sick of studying for BEC, the material is so boring and it's about 95% positive that I'll never use any of it.

It's not about what the material does for you after the exam; it's about passing.

Try thinking less about the need to apply the concepts to future because the one and only primary goal for absorbing this information is to get your CPA.

Try to make the information interesting by realizing that upon passing the exam, you get your life back and no longer have to look at that material again.
