OT – Is Becker a bit sexist? - Page 2

    I observed something a little strange in Becker Regulation… As I am plugging along doing my lectures, I noticed that they always use “he” and “him” when describing partners, owners, ect… I didn’t necessarily think much of it until they referred to a Manager as a “she”. This manager was in the subordinate position. Then they did it again, but this time the “she” was a defendant in fraud! I laughed out loud a bit at this. I wonder if the writer’s found a little humor in this…

    Don't worry, for the Cooking And Cleaning (CAC) section of the exam they almost extensively use “she.”

    I think people take this kind of thing way too far. You really think “you guys” is used by men to deliberately put women down? Raising issues like this cause more sexism than they attempt to correct.

    Well, Olinto claims Gearty wears pink dresses to relax, and Gearty claims Olinto stalks Lady Gaga for kicks…

    So, when you have a huge corporation, lots of money, and CPA clout, and (in Gearty's case) a wife and family… I say, when you have all that going for you… and you waste it on pink dresses and Lady Gaga… I tend to think they are probably a bit more psychotic than sexist…
