I am using both Becker and Ninja MCQ to study for REG and am averaging about 70-80% on the Becker progress tests. When I do sets of Ninja MCQ I feel as if I am learning a lot that Becker did not go over, but am lucky to score over 60%. This is really discouraging and making me anxious for the exam. Is it normal to score low on Ninja MCQ and still pass the exam? Does anyone find the Ninja questions to be comparable to the real exam or are they much harder?

I'm having the same issue!!!. My score on Beckers is 80+ and 60% on Ninja MCQ. I think its because I've done Beckers MCQ multiple times already. I find the questions on Ninja harder than Beckers.

I am speaking from personal experience-Becker is no where near as hard as NINJA MCQ. I have taken each section multiple times and failed a bunch. All of my fails came from using Becker. Eventually, I ditched that over-marketed, over-hyped garbage and switched to NINJA. On each Ninja attempt, I passed.

@jairvin3 same exact situation here!!! When I was using Becker I didn't pass a single test, ditched Becker and started using Ninja MCQ I've passed all the first time but one! I just took BEC for the second time while using Ninja. The BEC score I'm waiting on now could be my last one!!!!!! Come on 5/24!!

Thus far, I've only used Becker and passed both FAR and AUD on the first try.

BUT, I'm not feeling too confident about REG (taking it 6/9) so good to know that Ninja MCQs were helpful for others.

I am also studying for REG. Finished Becker materials about 2 weeks ago, was averaging high 80's to low 90s on progress tests, and bought NINJA MCQs exactly two weeks ago. I had the same problems initially, was trending in the 60s for the first week and was getting worried because I was doing so well with Becker but switched NINJA and was sucking. I've done about 2,000 NINJA MCQs since then and am now trending at 81% with a 76% average. I feel a lot more confident now and am feeling like I'm grasping the material better – especially B-Law. I just hope I can bump up my averages a bit more before the 29th and have it translate into a passing score. Keep going guys!

I take REG on 6/6 so should I just stop doing Becker questions and attempt the Ninja MCQ's as much as possible until the exam? Also, should I focus mostly on the MCQ's or a mix of the Ninja MCQ and sims?

Nancy, I took REG this week (my first test ever). I have no experience with Becker questions, but I felt like Ninja prepared me pretty good. I got into the exam and never really felt overwhelmed. Now there were areas that I was unfamiliar with, but that is to be expected. Ninja was definitely harder than the real thing, which is a good thing. I feel like I passed, but would not be surprised at all if I failed since there was enough stuff in there that I was unfamiliar with, and just knowing how I am, they have had to have tricked me somewhere, on top of the fact that I have no idea how this thing is graded!

Also, though unrelated, I used Gleim because I had to purchase it for an MBA class. And I will say that it is an absolute waste of time. It is way too hard. The actual exam does not test on the detail that Gleim does, and Gleim will crush your confidence while its at it. Ninja is much more manageable and relateable to the real thing. I'd recommend it. If you don't like it, at worst you lose $47. And buying at this point, you would still have access through Q3 if it comes to that. Good luck on REG!

mvol5, what was your average on ninja before the exam? Do you think Gleim's simulations were similar to the real exam? I also thought that the gleim MC questions were just too long and complex, but i heard great things about the simulations. Im working on those now.

ok thank you for the tips! I also had to buy Gleim for a grad class several years ago and the majority of the questions were identical to the current Becker ones.

There are some Gleim questions that are exactly the same as Ninja as well. From what I understand, now I could be very wrong here, as far as MCQ goes, the AICPA releases questions and the CPA review takes them and incorporates them into their courses as they see fit, I guessing that there are licensing fees and such that I have no idea about.

But from my experience (remember I have only taken one exam ever), in order of difficulty is Gleim, then Ninja, then actual exam. And you never know… you might just see some MCQ on the real thing that is exactly the same on Ninja!

Did anyone come across a situation where the Ninja MCQ's were the same as a question on the real exam? I am at the point where all the questions are starting to look the same. This happened when I took BEC as well.
