Hi everyone! I am so frustrated with Becker… they make it seem like you need to buy all of your materials at once and then, when it takes you 18 months to finish the exam – like it does for most people – your materials are out of date and you HAVE to rebuy them! I currently have 2012 Reg materials but will likely not take the test until January/early Feb 2014. Does anyone know how possible it is to pass with materials outdated by only 1 year? Would just buying the 2014 final review help? Thanks!!!!!

    BEC - 78 8/14
    AUD - 79 7/14
    FAR - TBD 10/15
    REG - TBD 11/15

*Not shown: the painful fails, including an excruciating twice earned membership to the 74 club and an expired BEC credit.

Use your 2012 materials. Be sure to obtain an updated listing of 2013 tax deductions, phase outs, etc. Ninja notes is a great resource.

    FAR - 87 (7/19/13)
    BEC - 82 (8/29/13)
    REG - 86 (10/18/13)
    AUD - 91 (12/06/13)

Good to hear. I was hoping on using 2012 materials and supplementing with NINJA since the updates are free. Same for FAR? I will be taking both in 2014 (and then hopefully be DONE! :-D)

    Hey Guys,

I had 2012 material and took Reg twice last year in 2013. Unfortunelty I didnt pass. I was very close ( got 70). I did extermely well on the MCQs part, but didnt do well on the simulation part as 2 simulations on the exam were a complete surprise to me.

It was not at all mentioned in book so I decided to buy updated material ( 2014 becker). Even thou I didnt find that new topic (that was in my exam), but there are good amount of changes in 2014 becker. Not sure if its beneficial or not, but since I took the exam twice with my outdated material, I decided to buy an updated material. Not sure if I am wasting my money, but thought I will give one last short.

    Hope this helps!

    Please share your thoughts, thanks
