I sit for REG on 9/1 and I thought I may be able to help some people with sharing my study plan. For the record, I am studying FULL TIME (for approx 8 weeks total: July 10-Sept 1) before I start work and am using Becker as an additional study program. I do not study e v e r y day but i do study on average 5-6 days a week for approx 8 hours per day.

R1 + R2 (Individual Tax) – Complete in 1 week
R3 (Property Tax) – 2 days
R4 (Corp Tax) – 1 week

REVIEW R1-4 – 1 week (I studied maybe 4 days of this week – I was fried and needed a break!)
– I used the NINJA notes and book and wrote an outline for each module also did some Ninja MCQ
– Went through Becker Flashcards and marked them up if needed

R5 (Entity Tax) – 1 week
R6 (Ethics) – 1 day
R7+R8 (Business Law) – I COMPLETELY BS-ed (i.e. watched the lecture, did Skill Prac, and did MCQ once over) – 4/5 days

NOW I begin my final review using NINJA: (Each “line” I did in 1 day// ~150MCQ per day)
I did not read over my notes because I noticed I was being lazy/not really reading them so I just went straight to Ninja MCQ. Any questions I got wrong I wrote down why/the rule. If I still felt “motivated” after doing the ~150MCQ I would go back and do the questions I got incorrect from that day.

R1 – Individual Tax – Ninja MC 5:A,B,E,F,G
R2 – Individual Tax – Ninja MC 5:C,D,H,I
R3 – Property Tax – Ninja MC 4
R4 – Corp Tax – Ninja MC 6:C // R5M1 – S-Corp – Ninja MC 6:D
R4 M2-4 – Partnership – Ninja MC 6:E // R4M8 -Tax Exempt Orgs – Ninja MC 6:G
R5M6- Estates & Trusts – Ninja MC 6:F // B-Law review aka read notes since i half assed those chps

– Then I did a Becker Mock Exam 1
– Seriously reviewed R7+R8 (B-law) and did some Ninja MCQ (since there are over 600MCQ for this section!!! YIKES!)
– Focused on Mock Exam 1 weaknesses for a day
-Mock Exam 2
-Review weaknesses for a few day (adjust depending on how much review time you have)
-Mock Exam 3 (approx. 4-5 days before you sit)
-AICPA Review Exam (2 days before you sit)
-SIT and (hopefully) PASS REG!!!!
