Most time-consuming/difficult Becker chapters for AUD? ive heard chapters 4 & 5, but I wasn’t sure. I am currently studying A1, and a lot of this stuff is still coming back to me since I’ve been out of school for a few years.

I had two main issues with A4 (audit evidence). First, determining which assertions were applicable to which accounts. Secondly, selecting the best test for the assertion in question. There were often 2 answers that would work on the practice MCQ, but one was “better”. I invariably picked the wrong one. What worked for me was doing all the MCQ I could and reading all the answer explanations. They helped me see why certain tests were better than others.

The two areas in A5 that were difficult for me were audit sampling and governmental accounting. After reading both Becker and Wiley twice I finally got sampling by going back to my old audit text. Governmental accounting was tough because I'd never studied it. I just read Becker very carefully, reviewed, and did lots of MCQ.
