Making the Switch to Becker

I’m pretty disappointed right now as I just got back my score for BEC (69). That was my first retake and second time using CPAexcel and NINJA MCQ for BEC. The same thing happened with AUD (my score also went down). I’m contemplating about making a switch over from CPAexcel to Becker. Has anyone else done this before? If so, has it worked? I’m pretty lost and am not sure what to do. Are the Becker live classroom sessions worth it?

What are your NINJA MCQ stats for BEC?

    Questions completed…trending score…etc.

warrreagle1015 – I think the materials you have should be enough for you to pass. The ninja alone will likely get you there. What are you studying techniques? Do you study during the week/weekends? Do you write out your own notes? The ninja notes, audio and MCQ's are so helpful!!! Can you give a quick description of your study methods and how often you study?

    A - 75
    B - 78 God is good.
    F - 77 Answered prayers.
    R - 84! Done!!

Paperwork sent - waiting for license!!
Still on a cloud and in shock. Through God, all things will happen.

I'd go ahead and switch to see if your results improve. Can't really go wrong with Becker IMO and it is very comprehensive so no need to stretch yourself thin with supplemental materials.

My thoughts exactly – I feel like I have the materials to pass, but my family is convincing me to make the switch. I'm just weighing my options since this is a frustrating time right now.

Jeff, I never reached the review stage but was pretty close (my pass expired the day of the exam, so I can't go back and see the total MCQs completed (I'd guess 1,200))? Trending score this round was 78% with an average of 68%. I know I really need to get both sets of percentages in the 80s to have a chance. Correct?

Determined CPA, I appreciate your coaching right now. The plan during this round was to study for about 1.5 hours in the morning before work, listen to NINJA audio on my commute (1.5 hours round trip), and complete MCQs for about an hour at night. I think something that needs improvement is writing down my notes over and over again. On the weekends, I'd study for about 4-5 hours on both Saturday and Sunday.

I'm certainly interested in investing in NINJA notes. Becker is the cost of an arm and a leg, but it might be worth the investment if it will get me through this slump.

One or two study materials might not necessarily work for one person.

Since you've probably gone through AUD and BEC exhaustively with CPAExcel and Ninja, you might want to switch to something else so that you can expose yourself to new questions.

I checked your purchase history…you've purchased several things for each exam, so I'm going to complete your BEC Ten Point Combo for you.

I'd rather do that then have you drop $$$$$$ for BEC.

    Shoot me an email please
