Hi, I’m new to Another71.

I recently started to study for CPA exam again after 2 years off. I still have material from Becker 2011 and i don’t want to spend a ton of money on Becker again. I’ll take REG for the first this November. I plan on using Becker 2011 Reg material and “Ninja 10 points combo” to study. I am aware that i need to look up update for section 179. Will someone with REG exam experience let me know if this is not enough materials to prep for 2013 REG test? My alternative plan is to purchase Gleim since it’s cheaper. Thank you very much.

I passes REG not to long ago with the 2011 books

I have 2011 books for all parts, and I think it's ok for everything with the exception of audit.

With reg there could be some numbers that would change like the standard deduction and things like that but if you take the ninja notes I'm sure it will have the updated one if not its a quick google search

I passed REG 5/31/13 studying with the Becker 2011 only.

and I didn't watch any of the videos(lecture dvd)

and if you go to Becker website and search for course update, there's lists of updates available. (if you're trying to correct the info in the actual books)

I did correct every updates, but from my experience, It wasn't all that important.

if you know the material well enough, you're good to go.
