Becker posts updates on their website: https://beckerkb.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/927/~/2012-edition-course-updates
Becker did a great job preparing me for FAR and REG, but I was not so crazy about it for BEC. Lots of topics on my BEC exam were not covered in Becker, but that seems to be a common complaint for any study materials. After I failed Audit with a 69, I bought the Ninja 10 Point and bumped my score up to 76. In my opinion, Becker pushes memorization, especially when they say in the videos, “just remember this mnemonic and that's all you need on exam day!” Not true, especially on a tricky exam like Audit. As other posters said above, if you take your own notes instead of just highlighting as you watch videos, you will actually learn the material instead of memorizing it.
The other thing about Becker is that you have to dive in and follow the entire study plan (and after paying so much, I had no problem doing that). Watch the super cheesy videos, study the chapters, do all of the questions, take the practice tests, study the flashcards, then move on to the next section. It seems like some people try to do one tiny part, but I don't think the set was designed to do that. Also, if I didn't understand a topic, I pulled out my old accounting books or Googled it.
Bottom line: Becker does a good job preparing for the exams, but you have to follow their structured study plan.
