I just graduated in December with dual degree (Accounting and Management) and have my 150 credit hours. I applied to sit for the exam and now i am looking for courses to take.

I am trying to figure out if Becker is worth it because i have to pay it with my own money. Right now i have 25k a year job which deals a bit with accounting and i love it but clearly it doesnt pay much. I am trying to decide if its worth paying top dollar 3360 for becker. I would have to finance it so the payments would be 190 a month. I can afford it but again thats a lot of money considering how much i make now so i was wondering if there is another program that is cheaper but as good as Becker.

My main goal is to pass the exam which is why i am staying at this job and not looking to work for big 4. I dont think i could pass it working 50-60 hrs at big 4. Also i love my current job and i will try and stay here if i can once i pass my CPA exam.

Do you guys have any advice? Do you think i should just try to get into big 4 since they will give me free Becker. I know its very hard to pass CPA exam while working for the big 4.

Here are some courses under $1800 – ultimately go with what demos you like and what fits your budget:

@GSU I found in my library a 2 set of big Wiley books (2013): They are volume 1 and 2 (for the four parts), the second volume is only problems and solutions. I see this edition very cool because they don't mix theory with problems, and for your studies that could be very good.

Why don't you go to your library and see if there is something like this just to see if that is what you want?

At the end of the day Wiley is the source for many CPA reviews, and if you like detail that could be for you.

    Good luck

No. Roger CPA Review is cheaper and way more effective. Loved him! Took me under 450 hrs to pass all 4 parts on my first try.

I agree with tough_kitty. While I have not taken an exam yet I did pay $1600 for Roger CPA Review and it has been great so far. They have also recently added MCQs and SIMS that are built into the online course rather than using Wiley TB so that is just an added bonus. I did luck up and manage to buy Roger when it was $800 off for the premiere course so I managed to get 24 months of access, the courses on a flash drive, and all the other goods that normally comes up to be about $2400. They also recently made the default time 18 months instead of 12 even for the regular course so you're getting much more bang for your buck.
