I paid a full price ($3,360 + fee for 0% payment plan) and it was worth it.
Here’s why: I looked at other courses and their presentation of material didn’t do it for me. Wiley was the worst – the moment I opened the wiley book I knew I would be incredibly miserable studying THAT. You know, grey and dry condensed summary. Ugh. I did that before and every page is a struggle. The CPA exam is painful enough, why make yourself even more miserable?
It sure hurts to make those monthly payments, but at the end of the day I passed all parts on the first try, I went to sleep every night knowing deep down (very, VERY deep 🙂 that I would pass and I wouldn’t have any surprises on the exam day, because the book covered the material well and it explained it well. And that’s mostly because their style clicks with my learning style. It’s expensive, but I consider it a premium for keeping my sanity.
